Question: What happens on the first Tuesday after November 1st every four years, including this year on Tuesday, November 3?
Answer: Every registered voter in America, irrespective of ethnic origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, or economic status, can exercise the gift that so many people fought and sacrificed to give to us all – the right to vote.
Voting is one of the most important rights and responsibilities afforded to U.S. citizens. A right that has been achieved through a legacy of social activism and long-fought battles between the people of this great nation and the government that its citizenry establishes.
Our feature campaign, I’m Voting For, calls upon each of us to speak our individual truths as to what kind of America we want our leaders to serve and govern.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all PEOPLE are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among PEOPLE, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the PEOPLE to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness.
We are all equally facing the greatest crisis in our lives affecting life, liberty, and happiness for ourselves, our families, our friends, our co-workers, our nation, and our world.
What are you voting for? Now is the time to share your story and your voice for how we make this a stronger and more united America.
